Volunteer in your Community

                  Meetings held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm

            Ever consider volunteering  your time and services for your community?  It is a rewarding experience and we have fun doing it.  You can be trained and become a Maryland certified Firefighter or EMT (or both!) and then you can respond to local emergencies that occur every day in our community, or You can just come out and help us with our Fund Raising Events.
        The training is FREE.   Membership fee is $5.00 per year.

Even if you don't have any desire for fire fighting or medical services, you can still help out by working with us on fundraisers and other important roles.  You would be doing your community a tremendous favor and would keep the fire and rescue services a volunteer organization. Members are eligible for a $3,500.00 Tax Credit after the third year of active service.

You have a choice of retrieving our membership application in (1) Adobe Acrobat PDF format (recommended), (2) Rich Text format or (3) in a plain text version. 

Adobe PDF format is commonly used on web pages.  To read the PDF app, you will need Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free from the Adobe site.  If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here to download it. 

Most word processors can read Rich Text formats.  The plain text version can be read with most text editors.  When selecting Rich Text Application below, if you receive a popup window asking for a username and password, just click Cancel and disregard.

Once you have printed the application, please fill in the blanks and sign the form.  Submit the application to the Financial Secretary (Carolyn Gleespen) along with your dues.  If you do not know the Financial Secretary, you may drop it off at the Fire Hall or give it to the member sponsoring you.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

YOU MUST ATTEND THE INITIAL COMPANY MEETINGS AFTER APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP WITH MVFD.
