Training

Manchester VFD Sponsors many Training events during the year.  Firefighter and EMS Training is provided by Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) and the University of Maryland.  Initial Firefighter training is 103 hours and held twice a week at 7PM at various locations.  EMS Training is 150 hours and also held twice a week.  Both courses have some weekend sessions.  Other training available is Swiftwater rescue, Rescue Technician, Fire officer, Emergency Vehicle Operations and much much more.  All at no charge for active members.
