On June 25, 2008 Manchester Volunteer Junior Fire Department held a training at
the Carroll County Fire Training Center. The juniors have been working hard over
t
he
last few months since re starting up the Junior program. On this day the juniors
practiced simulated apartment fire's in the training tower. The junior's were
split into two crews the engine or truck crew. The engine crew practiced
advancing a charged hose line and putting out the simulated fire out. While the
truck crew practiced throwing ladders, ventilating and performing search and
rescue of victims. The juniors did very excellent despite having ranks split
almost 50-50 of knowledgeable veteran juniors and rookies who this was their
first or second meeting. The Advisors assisting the junior firefighting
